This ‘Artists Tales’ section includes anecdotes, articles and pictures about some of the artists who have lived in, or drawn or painted, Chiswick. It is a companion to the Chiswick Timeline’s ‘Writers Tales’ section.
Contributors include Stephen Foster of Fosters Bookshop, who told us the story of Lewis Lupton, ‘the Michaelangelo of Chiswick’; the artist Fay Ballard (who describes walks with her father, JG Ballard, in Chiswick House, below); journalists, local historians and others. We are very grateful to them and are adding more stories: please email suggestions to admin@chiswickbookfestival.net.
