Artist Joanna Brendon MBE, MA, who died in May 2025 at the age of 80, was chair of the Artists At Home open studios event for 10 years and organised its PR and sponsorship for a further 10 years. She turned it into a well organised group that represented artists from a wide area, covering Chiswick, Shepherd’s Bush and Hammersmith, and opened her home to show her own work for many years with fellow artists Annette O’Sulllivan and Bobbie Kociejowski. Before that she was director of the concert venue St John’s Smith Square for 15 years.
