This Exhibition ran in St Michael & Angels Church from March 1st to 15th 2026, including displays of book illustrations by Chiswick artists from the Victorians to the present day; the ‘golden thread’ of Chiswick publishers at Puffin and Penguin; Jane Nissen Books covers; Chiswick’s children’s TV series; and the Children’s Books We Love to Remember Quiz (below). In the National Year of Reading, Action for Children’s Arts and the Chiswick Book Festival celebrated A Golden Age of Children’s Books, Television & Theatre – and sought lessons and inspiration for children’s arts in the 21st Century.
