About the Chiswick Book Festival
Every year since 2009, the Chiswick Book Festival has brought together top authors and their readers for a week of history, poetry, biography, creative writing, fiction, thrillers, gardens, food, wine, politics and children’s books. The first Festival opened on 25 September 2009 at St Michael & All Angels Church in Chiswick, west London.
The speakers during that first weekend included Lady Antonia Fraser, Michael Frayn, Anthony Horowitz and Jacqueline Wilson. The participants since then have included many other leading figures from the world of books (see https://www.chiswickbookfestival.net/past-speakers/).
The Festival has grown to include a number of venues around Chiswick. It is a non-profit-making community event, raising money through ticket sales and sponsorship for both St Michael & All Angels Church and other local charities.
The 18th Festival takes place between 9-14 September, 2025. Here’s our latest news.
