Chiswick Auctions: Free Valuation Weekend

At the Chiswick Auctions stand on Saturday and Sunday, several objects will be put on display, selected by their specialists. Visitors will be invited to put the objects in order of value in the hope of winning a £100 voucher to use at one of their auctions.
Sue Freke-Evans won the last contest at the Bedford Park Festival.

People can also find out what their own treasures are worth.
Valuer Toby Roberts from Chiswick Auctions will be outside St Michael & All Angels on Saturday to provide valuations and advice on buying and selling. On Sunday their head of valuations Liz Winnicott will be there. Watch her interview on Green Days weekend on The Chiswick Calendar (above).

Liz has joined Chiswick Auctions as Head of Valuations with over ten years experience in the auction world. After a career break to have children Liz chose to follow her passion and enter the world of antiques. She completed an MA in Arts Market Appraisal at Kingston University while working as a general valuer and auctioneer at a busy regional auction house. Liz went on to specialise in silver and jewellery and has handled small personal consignments through to large private collections. She is a regular on the rostrum and has a passion for research and the social history of items.

Toby began his career as a teenager at Rosebery’s Fine Art Auctioneers in South London before completing a BA in Fine Arts Valuation at Southampton Solent University. After graduating, he joined Chiswick Auctions as an Art Handler and Cataloguer and he recently returned as a General Valuer, working within The Design and Interiors Department. His years of experience working in auction houses around London have given him a keen eye and a broad knowledge.
