
Now in its 15th year, the Chiswick Book Festival Young Poets Competition aims to encourage young people to enjoy creating their own poems. We look for original poems on any theme, up to 25 lines long. Here’s where you can read about the 2024 winners.
We look for original poems on any theme, up to 25 lines long. It is free and open to children (UK only) in Years 3 to 7, aged 7 or 8 to 12. The aim is to celebrate children’s creativity in poetic form. There are five year-group categories, with prizes awarded in each section. Entries for the 2025 competition must be received by Thursday 5 June 2025.
