Children can write about any topic that interests them. The only stipulations are that each poem should be the child’s own work (with no parental help) and is limited to a maximum of 25 lines. Poems should be hand-written, although typed copies are acceptable for Year 7 entries. Young people are invited to write a poem at home, or at school, about whatever appeals to them.
