COOKBOOK FESTIVAL
11am-12pm: Jack Monroe and City Harvest
Join us for Brunch on a bootstrap! Jack Monroe (food campaigner, food writer and activist) joins forces with City Harvest (giving surplus food another life) to show us that creative recipes are not just for those with fancy gadgets and premium ingredients, while we enjoy brunch cooked from ingredients supplied by City Harvest. Every penny goes to charity, so be inspired by what Jack can create from seemingly nothing!

WORKSHOP
11am-1pm: How to Make Writing Part of Your Life
Kick start your creativity with this encouraging and enjoyable workshop run by bestselling author Cathy Rentzenbrink, on how to develop a writing practice that will enrich your life and help you to write pretty much anything at all. Bring paper and pen!  Watch here for more details.

12-1pm: Questions of Faith: Catherine Pepinster and Mark Byford
How big a part did Chiswick’s Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor play in getting Pope Francis elected? And how did a painting in the National Gallery inspire a former BBC executive to find out more about the Annunciation? Former editor of The Tablet Catherine Pepinster (The Keys and the Kingdom: The British and the Papacy) and former BBC deputy director general Mark Byford (The Annunciation: A Pilgrim’s Quest) shed new light on the place of religion in today’s world. Chaired by Fr Kevin Morris, vicar of St Michael & All Angels.

12:15-1:15pm: Goodness: Companies Doing Good
The news is full of global companies making mega-bucks, while the majority of the world’s population live in ever increasing poverty. Former MP Tom Levitt (The Company Citizen) and Stewart Lansley (It’s Basic Income) discuss the idea of corporate good with Dharshini David.

Frankie Unsworth trained at the Cordon Bleu School in Paris and now styles food and creates recipes for photo shoots all over the world. She will share tips and tricks of how to turn even the most simple of dishes into a feast for the eyes and we will all get to style our own lunch plate!

1:45-2:45pm Finding Purpose
Jessica Huie MBE (Purpose) has an incredible story to tell. 2-4pm: Graphology: The Art of Handwriting Analysis
In this fun and interactive workshop Emma Bache (Between the Lines: What Your Handwriting Says About You) presents hints and tips to learning someone’s character from their handwriting. Bring a pen and some handwriting samples!

3-4pm: Max Hastings: Vietnam
Vietnam became a battlefield humiliation for France in 1954, then a vastly greater one for the United States in 1975. Max Hastings has spent the past three years interviewing scores of participants on both sides, as well as researching a multitude of American and Vietnamese documents and memoirs, to create an epic narrative of an epic struggle. Supported by Savills.

3-4pm: The Almighty Dollar
If you’ve ever wondered what globalisation is and why people get so passionate about it, economist and BBC broadcaster Dharshini David will explain. Following the journey of a single US dollar around the world, Dharshini shows how the dollar is the lifeblood of global economics.

Interested in food? Interested in history? Like gin? This is for you! Leah Hyslop
shows us some of the recipes and shares stories from her book Made in London, which traces the history of London recipes from Tudor times, but is bang up to date with her own recipes inspired by living in London today. Match this with a taste of London’s local spirit (gin) and you have a perfect Sunday afternoon treat.
